Eclipse

The name "Eclipse" has been one of meaning to Victoria and I for awhile now. It's meant to represent us coming together as a team and a family. Victoria is a Cancer sign ruled by the Moon, and I am a Leo which is ruled by the Sun, hence the title. One of our dreams is to own a multifaceted business in the future, based around our love of nature, homeopathy, energy working, and Victoria's pursuance into becoming a birthing educator, doula, and possibly one day a midwife.

It seems a bit funny thinking that this blog is almost 2 years old. What I find more surprising is that I haven't written a blog post in almost the same amount of time. I had really enjoyed the time that I had spent blogging before. I loved researching, sharing, and connecting. My last post was added just before my daughter Adelina was born, she will be 2 years old in December. How time flies!

It has been in the back of my mind these past 20 months to blog something, but it seemed like something was always coming up. Recently (and by recently I mean this afternoon), I had concocted an idea in my head to merge this (previous) blog with my wife's (previous) blog. And from there take the content and gear it more towards our new parenting aspects. And that seems to be what we're going to do.

This blog was previously called "stir a flower". It was devoted to sharing my own experiences "finding magic in the mundane and appreciating the natural world." My wife's blog was called "New Mom Adventures" and served to chronicle her journey into early parenthood. Our posts are now merged together in this blog.

Christopher's original blog

"New Mom Adventures"
Victoria's original blog

To be honest, we don't know what direction that this blog will take, but we know that it is suited for us right now. Expect posts about our misadventures in parenting, baby product reviews, ideas for natural parenting, book reviews, cute baby photos, the metaphysical, trying to go green, and most likely a genealogical tangent or two from me.

Backtracking a little: we now have 2 children, have moved from Florida to New York to Rhode Island, changed our education pursuits and career paths...

But we'll save that for another post. Thanks for stopping by, come back soon. ☮
